Bobs Blog

This blog is just a random school project that I have resurrected for some reason. Since there are no longer any rules I will just kind of post stuff I feel like posting.

work in progress

Our class yesterday was about meetings. We talked about how to be likeable at meetings, how to seek revenge in the workplace, and what not to do in a meeting. I felt somewhat left out because I have never been to a business meeting. Sure I have met with friends and people from my group at school but that is not really a meeting. I guess the same kind of advice could be applied to those gatherings as business meetings.

Then we got on the subject of lunch. Lunch is my favorite meal of the day. I don’t tend to use lunch as a chance to go out and strengthen my relationships but it might be a good idea. Stan seems to really like lunch and I don’t blame him; some of the best meals are lunch specific.

I saw the movie Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy today. I was an excellent movie and I recommend everyone go to see it. You may be wondering what the movie I saw today has to do with English so I will tell you: Ron Burgundy could have really benefited from the things we learned in class on Monday.

Ron was the best anchorman in town and he had a real superiority complex. There were several times he was in a meeting and was asleep! When asked if he was paying attention he said no, he also liked to disagree very openly with others opinions and proposals. It was very clear to me he should look at taking this course and learning the proper way to act in a meeting. Maybe then he would have gotten his way. Other than Mr. Burgundy’s lack of meeting skills it was a very funny and enjoyable movie. There is even senseless violence to keep the kids happy.
