Bobs Blog

This blog is just a random school project that I have resurrected for some reason. Since there are no longer any rules I will just kind of post stuff I feel like posting.

A better comeback

Well we had our presentations today and I must say I don’t think I did well. I experienced extreme stage fright and only managed to spit out some of what I had wanted to say. I had expected to do the presentations differently; I thought that I would go up alone and there would be some need to introduce my self. I had my little speech all worked out. I would say “Hello I am Robert Smith, but every one calls me Bob, But I am not here to talk about my self I am here to introduce you all to Arluene King.” And then I would make up some stuff about how she likes to lead and she has worked for OUC for a long time.

Instead I got up there and she went first so there was no need to introduce my self. But me, being bad at thinking on my feet, still tried to and I am sure someone noticed. I could only think of what I had wanted to say first: that she was a friendly and competent person and she seemed like the type of person to get things done if they needed doing. All in all thou I think it was better than it could have been. I have been known to do some bad work.

I have not had to introduce anyone like that before and I think it will be very helpful in the future. I know other people will need help showing off their skills and qualities and a third party doing the introducing can really help them out. Hopefully I can employ the some tactic to get my foot in the door of some of the places I want to work at. I will see you all next class.

You are not alone. I felt the same after the presentation. This is fine Bob.

Personally, I think that you are doing well. You have showed consistent improvement in all three of your presentations.

I look forward to seeing you ROCK on the next one!

Bob:
Fear is a great motivator, if you can learn to use it to propel yourself rather than let it hold you back. I think you did great job.
